3 lbs. pork spare ribs 1/3 c. flour 1/3 c. soy sauce 3/4 c. vinegar 1 c. water 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 1 tbsp. salt 1 clove garlic 1 inch ginger root Dash of 5 spices Cut spare ribs into 2x2 inch pieces. Marinate them in flour and soy sauce for 30 minutes. Brown in cooking oil. Add rest of ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes until tender. May serve with chunks of fresh or canned pineapple. |
