3 lbs. lean boneless beef short ribs 2 tbsp. oil 2 med. onions, sliced 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 c. water 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. vinegar 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. salt Brown meat in hot oil; add onions. Blend together remaining ingredients and pour mixture over meat. Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Skim off fat. Serve over prepared egg noodles and with a green salad. Serves 6-8. |
