1 lb. ground beef, chicken or turkey 8 oz. tomato sauce 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Brown meat. Stir or chop until crumbly. Drain fat. Stir in other ingredients. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add to taco shells and garnish as desired.

This recipe is perfect. It's very simple, and keeps it nice and traditional. I used fresh minced garlic (3 cloves) instead of the garlic powder, but either way it makes the perfect taco meat. Use this as the base and customize it however you like, and you can't go wrong.

I would substitute tomato sauce for franks hot sauce... kinda how you would use oil in pan to cook meat, and I always add taco seasoning, adobo, and parsley for color at the end!
