HAWAIIAN SHORT RIBS
 

3 to 4 lbs. lean beef short ribs, cut into serving size pieces
Instant meat tenderizer
1 can (1 lb. 4 1/2 oz.) pineapple
1/3 c. soy sauce
1 tbsp. ground ginger

Trim excess fat from ribs. Sprinkle meat evenly on all sides with tenderizer. Don't use salt. With long tined fork pierce all sides of meat deep. Place meat in single layer in baking dish, let stand 30 minutes at room temperature. Drain pineapple, reserving 2/3 cup syrup.
