EASY PORK CHOP DINNER
 

1 - 2 tbsp. bacon fat
1 lg. onion, sliced
1 - 2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. rosemary
1/2 tsp. basil
4 pork chops
Salt and pepper
1 c. water with 1 beef bouillon dissolved in it

In skillet large enough to lay each pork chop flat, melt shortening. Add pork chops and brown each side over high heat. Salt and pepper each chop. Add onion and garlic; briefly saute. Reduce heat, add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer about an hour or until chops are fork tender. Good with mashed potatoes and apple sauce. Do not thicken broth. Yields 4.
