PORK RIBS WITH SAUERKRAUT
 

Purchase "Country Style" pork ribs, as much as you need for your family. Boil 1 large can sauerkraut for 10 minutes in water no salt (drain and squeeze out excess water). Put ingredients in pan in this order.

Sauerkraut; 1 small can applesauce, drop by spoonsful over sauerkraut; 1 small can (16 oz.) of tomato sauce, spread; Sprinkle brown sugar over all, 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup; place ribs on top of this mixture; sprinkle ribs with some chopped onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Coat ribs with ketchup.

Bake 1 1/2 hours at 375 degrees. Remove from oven. Turn ribs over. Coat with ketchup or barbecue sauce. Return to oven for 15 to 30 minutes until ribs are done. Serve with baked potatoes, salad, and vegetable.
