PORK RIBS & SAUERKRAUT
 

4 lbs. pork ribs
1 med. onion
2 lg. apples
1 tbsp. brown sugar
6 to 8 whole cloves
Salt & pepper to taste
1 to 1 1/2 c. chicken or pork broth
1 can sauerkraut

Broil ribs ahead of time and remove excess fat. Mix sauerkraut, chopped apples and onions together. Add 1 tablespoon brown sugar, cloves, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Place ribs in bottom of baking dish and cover with sauerkraut mixture. Pour broth over top. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. Serve with mashed potatoes.
