PORK CHOW MEIN

12 c. water
2 pork chops or country style deboned ribs
1/2 lb. hamburger (crumbled)
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
5 sliced stalks celery
Oriental sub gum
2 bouillon cubes, beef
1/3 c. soy sauce
3 sliced med. onions
8 oz. bean sprouts

Put water, bouillon, pork, hamburger, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, onions and celery in a large pot and simmer for 2 hours. Remove pork and flake, discarding any fat and return meat to pot. Add bean sprouts and cook until tender (about 15 minutes).

To thicken, add 3 heaping tbsp. sub gum with 3/4 cup warm water and add to pot. Add more if a thicker sauce is desired. Serve over Chinese noodles or rice.
