SHERRIED PORK CHOPS
 

4 pork loin chops, 1 1/4 in. thick
Salt
Flour to dredge chops
1/4 c. (or more) sweet sherry
Garlic powder
Pepper
2 to 3 tbsp. shortening

To prepare pork chops, wash and pat dry. Rub with garlic, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour. Heat shortening in skillet. Brown pork chops on both sides. Place in baking dish and cover with sherry. Cover baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until done.
