CHILI SKILLET MEAL
 

2 slices of bacon, halved
1 small onion, sliced
1/2 of a green pepper, diced
1 can of kidney beans
1/2 c. chili sauce
2 t. chili powder
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
2 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
english muffins, halved and toasted lightly

Heat skillet over moderate heat for 3 minutes; add bacon. Cook 2 minutes on each side. Drain. Add onion and green pepper to fat in the skillet. Cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. Add kidney beans. Reduce heat.

Crumble bacon add remaining ingredients except the English muffins, stirring until cheese is melted. Cover and heat thoroughly then serve on the toasted English muffins.
