MEATBALL STROGANOFF
 

1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. beer
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. (1/2 pt.) dairy sour cream
1 (1 1/2 oz.) env. beef stroganoff mix
1 pkg. noodles

Combine beef, egg, onion, salt; shape into 1-inch meatballs. Brown meatballs on all sides in hot shortening. Drain off excess fat. Sprinkle stroganoff mix over meatballs; pour on beer. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Fold in sour cream. Reheat but do not boil. Serve meatballs over buttered noodles. Serves 6.
