1/4 stick butter, softened 2 oz. Gorgonzola or other bleu cheese 1/4 tsp. fresh cracked pepper 4 beef tenderloin steaks (filet mignon), each 1 1/2 inches thick Preheat broiler. In bowl mix butter, Gorgonzola and pepper. Put steaks in broiler pan on a rack; broil on top rack of oven for 10-15 minutes for medium-rare, turning steaks once. Spread cheese mixture over steaks and broil 1-2 minutes longer until mixture softens. |
