1 pkg. burritos (dairy case, soft) 1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. Old El Paso taco seasoning mix 1 (16 oz.) can Old El Paso refried beans 1 (8 oz.) jar Old El Paso taco sauce, divided usage 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese, divided usage Nacho chips Shredded lettuce Chopped tomatoes Sour cream (optional) Line pan with burritos, side and bottom. Cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned; drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning mix to meat according to package directions. In a small mixing bowl, combine refried beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce; mix well. Layer half of refried bean mixture in bottom of pan. Top with half of seasoned meat, 1 cup Cheddar cheese, and nacho chips. Repeat layers, excluding nacho chips. Bake on preheated cookie sheet 20-35 minutes. Remove from oven. Top with lettuce and tomato; add additional taco sauce to taste. Top with 2-3 dabs of sour cream. Temperature: 350 degrees. |
