SLOPPY JOES
 

1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 sm. onion, minced
2 stalks celery, minced
1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sweet pickle relish
1/8 tsp. pepper

In skillet or crock pot with browning unit, cook beef with onion and celery until meat loses its red color. Pour off excess fat. In crock pot combine meat mixture with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. Spoon over toasted hamburger buns or French rolls. Makes 4 to 6 servings. This recipe may be doubled.
