1 lb. ground beef 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. onion (chopped) or 1 tbsp. instant minced onion 1 beef bouillon cube 1 c. hot water 1 pt. peas 1/4 c. cooked diced carrots (optional) 2 tbsp. corn starch 1/4 c. water 1/4 tsp. pepper Brown ground beef, salt, pepper and onion in medium skillet. Dissolve bouillon cube in the hot water. Add to meat along with peas and carrots. Cover and simmer until peas are tender. Make a paste with 2 tablespoons corn starch and 1/2 cup water. Add gradually to thicken. Serve over mashed potatoes. |
