SLIM & TRIM FLANK STEAK
 

1 1/2 lb. flank steak
1 clove garlic
1/3 c. soy sauce
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 c. red wine

With sharp knife, score steak on the diagonal on both sides, making cuts in both directions to form diamond pattern. Rub garlic on both sides. Place meat in shallow pan. Mix next 3 ingredients and pour over meat; marinate at least 1/2 hour, turning after 15 minutes. Remove steak from marinade and reserve liquid. Grill 4 to 5 minutes on each side; it will cook very rapidly. Remove from heat and place on platter; slice in thin strips against the grain. Serve with warmed marinade.
