Soak 2/3 cup raw soybeans overnight in about 3 cups water. Drain soaked soybeans and whiz in blender: 2 c. soaked soybeans 1 med. onion 1/2 c. water Combine with: 1 1/2 c. cooked millet (see Note) 1/4 c. sunflower seeds 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs 1/2 c. slivered almonds 1/2 tsp. salt Let stand 5 to 10 minutes, form into balls. Roll in 1/2 cup seasoned crumbs. Bake on lightly sprayed cookie sheet or line pan with pan liner paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with tomato sauce if desired. Yield: 10 servings. NOTE: Cook millet by steaming 1/2 cup millet in 2 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon salt until soft, approximately 45 minutes. |
