1 lb. hamburg 2 tbsp. onion, minced 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. milk 1 c. soft bread crumbs 2 tbsp. spry (Crisco) SAUCE: 1/2 c. catsup 1/2 c. hot water 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce (less if desired) 1/2 tsp. salt Make small balls for hors d'oeuvres and regular size for main course. Combine hamburg, onion, salt, pepper and milk. Blend thoroughly. Saute crumbs in hot spry skillet until brown and combine with meat mixture. Form patties. Saute patties in hot skillet until brown on both sides. When meat is done, remove from skillet and pour off fat. In skillet mix catsup, hot water, Worcestershire and salt. Bring to boil and pour over patties. |
