2 lbs. ground beef 1/4 c. salad oil 1 c. chopped onion 1 c. chopped celery 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 16 oz. can tomatoes 8 oz. can tomato sauce 6 oz. can tomato paste 2 cans kidney beans (16 oz. each) 1/2 c. water 1 1/2 tbsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. paprika 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. ginger Brown beef in oil in large skillet, pour off grease. Add tomato products, kidney beans, water and seasonings. Simmer gently for about 1 hour. Makes 8 to 10 servings. |
