2 lb. bing cherries 1 1/2 c. canned pineapple (spoon size cubes) 1/4 c. water 7 c. sugar 1 bottle fruit pectin Pit cherries (boring to do, get help!) Add water; heat to boiling; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Measure 3 1/2 cups fruit and water together. Add pineapple and sugar. Mix well. Heat to full roll boil, stirring constantly. Boil hard 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add fruit pectin. Skim and stir 5 minutes to prevent floating fruit. Pour into hot sterilized jars. Makes 11 (6 oz.) jars. |
