CHICKEN PATURI
 

List of Ingredients (as desired):

chicken, yogurt, sliced onion, ginger, garlic paste, tomato, green chilli, coconut, salt, sugar, mustard oil, lemon juice, coriander leaves, banana leaves, thread, oil for frying

Marinate the chicken with ginger, garlic paste, salt and yogurt for half an hour.

Fry the onions in a small amount of peanut or vegetable oil until they are starting to brown. Add tomato, sugar, salt and the marinated chicken; cook for ten minutes.

Brush a large banana leaf with oil and put the chicken, green chilli, coconut, coriander leaves and mustard oil in the center. Fold the leaf and tie with a cotton thread.

Boil the whole thing in a double boiler or steamer system for 30 minutes. Serve hot with rice and lemon juice.
