BARBECUE BEEF TERIYAKI STEAK WITH
PIQUANT SAUCE
 

2 lbs. flank steak or London broil

MARINADE:

3/4 c. salad oil
1/2 c. soy sauce
2 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 scallion, finely chopped

PIQUANT SAUCE:

2 avocados
1/2 lb. button mushrooms
1/2 c. oil
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
3 tbsp. tarragon vinegar
1 clove minced garlic
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. water
3/4 tsp. salt

MARINADE: Blend all marinade ingredients in a blender until frothy. Marinate meat 8 hours. Cook meat on grill for 5 minutes on each side. 6 servings.

PIQUANT SAUCE: Chop avocado and mushrooms into large chunks. Blend the rest of ingredients in blender. Pour over mushrooms and avocados. Chill. Serve with steak.
