1 box lemon Jello 3/4 c. syrup from fruit cocktail 1 c. cottage cheese 1 1/3 c. drained fruit cocktail 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. chopped unpeeled apple 1/4 c. lemon juice 1 c. Carnation evaporated milk Heat syrup from canned fruit cocktail in a small pan. Pour hot syrup over Jello in a mixing bowl to dissolve the Jello. While the lemon Jello and fruit cocktail syrup are cooling, place all other ingredients into a large bowl. Pour Jello over salad. Stir the salad to mix well. Pour creamy fruit salad into a 9 inch square pan and refrigerate until firm. |
