SCALLOPED APPLES
 

8 med. apples
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
4 tbsp. butter

Peel, core, and slice apples. Toss in large bowl with sugar, lemon juice, and spices. In medium skillet, melt butter. Add apple mixture and stir until coated with butter. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally 10-15 minutes or until apples are tender. Serves 6-8.
