3 c. pears, ground or chopped 1 lg. orange, peeled & remove seeds 3/4 c. drained, crushed pineapple 1/4 c. red cherries 1/4 c. lemon juice 1 pkg. sure gel 5 c. sugar Measure pears, put in large boiler. Add everything except sure gel and sugar. Turn to high heat, stirring at all times. Before mixture comes to a boil, add sure gel. When it comes to a hard rolling boil, add sugar and stir for 1 minute. Take off heat and skim the top. Put in jars. Makes 6 or 7 (1/2 pint) jars. |
