SWISS STEAK
 

"Bottom" round steak
Flour
Spices
Oil
Onions
Peppe rs
Tomatoes (canned)
Sugar
Salt

Pound "bottom" round steak in flour and spices and pound with meat pounder (tenderizer). Brown meat in oil or bacon fat. Add onions, peppers, tomatoes. Add sugar and salt to tomatoes. Cook slow 1 to 2 hours.

Can cook in 325 degree oven for 1 hour or so. Not done until tender.
