TEXAS FRENCH TOAST
 

18 pieces raisin bread
4 eggs
1 1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
butter

In a greased 13x9x2 pan place 6 pieces of bread to cover bottom. Dot each piece with 1 teaspoon butter. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Do next 2 layers the same. Beat together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon; pour over the bread layers.

Cover with foil. Place in refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours or even overnight. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30-45 minutes. Remove foil; place under broiler for 3-5 minutes or until crispy on edges.

Slice and serve with warmed syrup. Can sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
