SWISS PIE
 

1 c. finely crushed cracker crumbs
1/4 c. butter, melted or 1 regular pie crust
6 slices bacon or 1/2 c. chopped ham
8 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded (2 cups)
2 slightly beaten eggs
3/4 dairy sour cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shredded sharp process American cheese

Oven 375 degrees. Saute onion. Combine crumbled bacon (or ham), onion, Swiss cheese, eggs, sour cream, salt and dash of pepper. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle process cheese on top. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) for 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted off center comes out clean. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
