EGG - NOG DESSERT
 

2 c. egg nog
1/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 pkg. plain gelatin
1 c. whipping cream or 8 oz. Cool Whip
1/4 c. cold water

Soak gelatin in cold water. Combine cornstarch and sugar, add to egg nog. Cook until thick. Add gelatin. Let cool until partially congealed. Fold in whipped cream or Cool Whip. Pour into mold or individual dishes.

SAUCE: (optional)
1 pkg. frozen raspberries
1/2 c. current jelly
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. orange juice

Heat 3/4 pint berries with 1/2 cup current jelly. Simmer. Add 1 tablespoon cornstarch to remaining berries. Add to berries and cook until thick. Add 1 tablespoon butter. Cool. Add 1/4 cup orange juice. Fresh raspberries are also good on the egg nog.
