HONEY AND EGG BREAD
 

1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
1 3/4 c. warm water
3 tbsp. dry milk
1 tbsp. salt
4 tbsp. strained honey
2 eggs
3 1/2 tbsp. melted shortening
6-7 c. flour

Mix ingredients by hand in the order they are listed except the flour. Begin with 3 cups flour, adding more until dough reaches proper consistency, using a total of 6-7 cups. Dough should not stick to hands nor be too stiff. Knead dough by hand and set aside until doubled. Knead again and put into pans. Makes 2 large loaves. Brush each loaf with melted shortening. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
