2 cans peeled tomatoes 1 sm. can tomato puree 2 pieces fresh garlic, chopped 1 lg. spoonful capers 20 black olives (without stone) 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 sm. can anchovies, mixed to a paste Very finely chopped hot red peppers and fresh basil (according to your taste) 3 tbsp. cold pressed olive oil 1/2 c. red wine Beef cube to taste Heat olive oil in pan. Add onions and garlic; saute. Add tomato puree; scorch a little on bottom of pan. Add 1/2 cup of red wine. Stir. Add tomatoes (peeled), anchovies, capers, olives, beef broth, and red peppers; simmer over low flame for 1/2 hour. Serve with fresh frozen linguine pasta from Publix. Prepare these noodles according to directions. Serve with fresh grated Parmesan cheese. |
