MEATBALLS IN SWEET & SOUR SAUCE
 

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
3/4 c. oats
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 med. chopped onion
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. Tabasco sauce

SAUCE:

1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 beef bouillon cube
1 c. hot water
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tsp. soy sauce
1/3 c. green pepper
3 oz. can pineapple

Mix together first 9 ingredients, make into balls. Brown in small amount of grease. Remove from pan, place into casserole dish. Pour sauce over the balls. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. SAUCE: Mix first 6 ingredients of sauce together. Bring to boil, remove from heat, add green pepper and pineapple.
