GRAPENUT CUSTARD
 

3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. Grapenuts
4 eggs
2 3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix melted butter and Grapenuts - set aside. Beat eggs, add milk and vanilla. When thoroughly mixed add sugar and salt. After blending these ingredients, stir in Grapenuts.

Pour into 1 1/2 quart baking dish and place in pan of hot water. Bake at 375 degrees for about 50 minutes stirring several times during first 30 minutes. Test custard by inserting knife. If knife comes out clean, custard is done.
