LISTY (CZECH LEAVES)
 

4 egg yolks
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. bourbon or "slivovice"

Beat egg yolks until lemon colored; add powdered sugar and flavoring. In a mixing bowl, put the flour and make a well; add egg mixture and mix by hand until the consistency of pie dough. Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll out one part onto lightly floured board, very thin. Cut into 3 x 2 inch strips, making a split or two in the middle of each strip. Fry in hot oil until bubbles appear on top, flip and finish frying to golden brown. Drain on paper towels; dust with powdered sugar just before serving.
