1 lg. bunch of fresh mint, washed and drained
1 qt. (4 c.) fresh strawberries
Juice of half lemon (about 2 tbsp.)
Line the basket of a steamer with mint. Wash and hull strawberries. Place them atop mint; cover and steam gently about 10 minutes. Serve sprinkled with a little lemon juice. Makes about 8 servings.
Though strawberries and cream are traditional summer fare, you can cut out 80 percent of the calories by serving them with fresh mint instead of cream. The flavor is delicious.
