1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening

Cream together; add 3 eggs. Cream. 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. cinnamon

Mix dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Chill dough. Roll out dough and cut with a round cutter. Write Bible verses on slip of paper, fold them and set one in the middle of every other cookie. Place the other cookies on top of the ones with messages on them, pinch the edges together and bake for 12 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees. Makes 36 cookies. You may decorate.
