PEANUT PATTIES
 

2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo
1 c. cream or evaporated milk
3 c. raw peanuts
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cook for 1 hour over very low heat. Remove. Add 1 tablespoon butter. Beat until creamy and spoon out on waxed paper to form patties. Add red food coloring, if desired.
