Then, mix together: 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla

Fold flour, salt and vanilla into creamed butter and sugar. Mix by hand. Shape into rolls about 1 1/2 inch diameter. Roll in wax paper with colored sugars - red and green for Christmas - pastel sugars for kids parties. Chill overnight. Cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch slices. Bake on sheets at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Very good and lots of cookies.
