CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
 

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
12 oz. Nestle's Tollhouse morsels
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large bowl combine butter, sugars and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips (and nuts). Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9-11 minutes. 3 dozen cookies.
