Sift together and set aside: 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt
Cream together until softened: 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Add gradually, creaming until fluffy after each addition:
Add in thirds, beating thoroughly after each addition:
Mixing until well blended after each addition, add dry ingredients gradually to the creamed mixture. Chill thoroughly in refrigerator. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Roll dough 1/4 to 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Using floured cookie cutter, cut dough into desired shapes. Sprinkle cookies with sugar. Place on cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies.
