CHOCOLATE ALMOND BARK
 

1 (11 oz.) pkg. or 2 c. milk chocolate chips
1 tbsp. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped toasted almonds, divided

Combine over hot (not boiling water) milk chocolate morsels and vegetable shortening. Stir until morsels are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in raisins and 1/4 cup almonds. Spread into waxed paper lined 13"x9" baking pan. Make waxed paper long enough so that candy can be easily lifted out of the pan. Sprinkle remaining almonds on top. Chill until ready to serve, about 30 minutes. Before serving, break into bite size pieces. Makes 1 pound.
