2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. soft butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, cream butter, sugars and vanilla until fluffy. Beat in eggs. Combine dry ingredients together, then add to creamed mixture gradually; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop to measure (6 cookies to each sheet). Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on sheet 5 minutes before moving to wire racks. To make Cookie Monsters, top warm cookies with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce.
