MARINATED MELON MELANGE
 

1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. lime juice
1/4 c. light rum
1 c. watermelon balls or cubes
1 c. cantaloupe balls or cubes
1 c. honey dew balls or cubes
2 nectarines or peaches, sliced

In small saucepan, combine honey and water. Bring to a boil reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in lime juice and rum, cool. In a large bowl, combine watermelon, cantaloupe, and honey dew. Pour cooled marinade over fruit. Cover, refrigerate 1 to 2 hours. Just before serving, add nectarines or peaches. Makes 8 servings.
