SAUERKRAUT PORK CHOP CASSEROLE
 

6 pork chops or 1 lb. sausage, cut in 1" pieces
2 cans Bush Bavarian Kraut, undrained
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 med. onion, chopped
1 apple, chopped (do not peel)
Salt & pepper to taste

Grease a 9"x13" Pyrex casserole. Mix Kraut, cloves, onion and apple and pour into casserole. Salt and pepper pork chops. Place chops (or sausage) on top of mixture. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil and check for dryness. If too dry, turn down oven. Bake, uncovered an additional 1/2 hour or until pork chops are browned. Serve with parslied new potatoes and chunky applesauce.
