4 c. sugar 1 tall can evaporated milk 1/4 lb. butter (1 stick) 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate (1 sq. Baker's chocolate) 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 16 oz. marshmallows 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts, if desired Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and chocolate square in large heavy saucepan. Bring to low boil. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallows, and vanilla. Stir until smooth. Add nuts, if desired. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Cool. Cut into pieces and store in cool place. Makes 5 pounds fudge. |
