EASY CHOCOLATE FUDGE
 

1 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/3 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. chopped nuts
2 to 2 1/4 c. powdered sugar

Makes 32 candies; 80 calories each. Mix granulated sugar and cocoa in 2 quart saucepan. Stir in milk, butter and corn syrup. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently. Boil and stir 1 minutes. Remove from heat; cool without stirring until bottom of pan is lukewarm, about 45 minutes. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Stir in powdered sugar until mixture is very stiff. Press into buttered loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 inches. Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes. Cut into 1 inch squares.
