1 1/2 c. butter (2 1/2 sticks) 3 c. sugar 5 eggs 3 c. flour 2 tbsp. lemon extract flavoring 3/4 c. 7-Up Cream sugar and butter together and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time and beat well. Add flour. Add lemon flavoring and 7-Up, mix in well. Pour into well-greased and floured jumbo mold cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. For electric ovens, bake at 300 degrees. GLAZE ICING: 1 c. powdered sugar 1 pinch of salt 2 tbsp. 7-Up 1 tsp. lemon flavoring Mix well. |
