30 to 35 small, light-weight toys such as balls, rubber dinosaurs, rubber cars, rubber or plastic insects, etc.
1 special birthday toy
2 toothpicks
Sm. pieces of paper
Glue or tape

Cut cake into as many pieces as your child's class size and leave in cake pan. On each square piece you have just cut, place a toy. Plan on cutting a larger piece for the birthday boy/girl for their special toy and their little happy birthday banner supported by toothpicks.
