1 box chocolate cake mix 1/2 c. milk 1 (8 oz.) container whipped topping, thawed 6 (1 3/4 oz.) Hershey bars 18 marshmallows, cut up Whipped cream and almonds for garnish, optional Prepare cake mix as directed on package, and bake in a well greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake according to package directions. Cool completely, set aside. Put Hershey bars, milk and marshmallows in double boiler. Heat mixture until melted and well mixed; let cool, then fold in whipped topping. Spread Hershey bar mixture over cooled cake. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve in squares with dollop of whipped cream and sliced almonds, if desired. |
