CHOCOLATE - CARAMEL CAKE
 

1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. chocolate chips

Mix cake mix according to directions on package. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes. Melt caramels and milk. Add melted butter. Pour over cake. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the pecans and 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour remaining batter over this. Top with the rest of the pecans. Bake 20 to 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.
